95th General Assembly


Rep. Steven Tilley, a Republican, represents part of Perry, St. Genevieve and St. Francois Counties (District 106) in the Missouri House of Representatives. He was elected to the House in 2004, and in 2007 he was elected Majority Floor Leader of the House of Representatives for the 95th Legislative Session. He focuses his legislative efforts on his continued commitment to make Missouri a better place to work and live for families.

In addition to his legislative duties, Rep. Tilley is an Optometrist with Tilley Eye Center in Perryville.

Rep. Tilley is a member of the following organizations: Perryville Optimist Club, Missouri Right to Life, National Rifle Association, Missouri Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, N.F.I.B., The Missouri Chamber of Commerce, and is also a CHAMPS mentor. Rep. Tilley and his family attend Immanuel Lutheran Church of Perryville.

Recent awards presented to Representative Tilley include the 2008 Presidential Citation Award from the University of Missouri for his continued service and support to the University of Missouri-St. Louis, the 2008 Young Alumni Merit Award from Southeast Missouri State University-College of Science and Mathematics, the 2008 Excellence in Healthcare Legislation Award from the Missouri Nurses Association, the 2008 Missouri Restaurant Association Legislator of the Year Award, the 2007 Distinguished Service Award for outstanding service and dedication from the Missouri Optometric Association and the 2007 Missouri Rural Health Clinics Award.

A 1989 graduate of Perryville High School in Perryville, Missouri, Rep. Tilley received a Bachelor of Science degree from Southeast Missouri State University in 1994 and received his Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Missouri-St. Louis School of Optometry in 1998.

Born on June 11, 1971, in Wiesbaden, West Germany, Rep. Tilley lives in Perryville with his wife Kellie. They have two children: Kourtney and Korrin.
